LESSON – Discussion
“The senior Swiss executive asked several of us Thais for our opinions on a new marketing proposal. When my Thai colleagues made their proposals and comments, some were put down very abruptly. Expressions like “nonsense!” I felt the Swiss weren’t really serious about our ideas. At that point I was very upset. But I decided this is nevertheless a strong company with basically a good system and I can learn a lot here for a few years, but when I’ve learned what I need, I’ll move on.”

- What similar experience have you had?
- Do you feel this is simply a language problem or more cultural (ie Kreng Jai)?
