Present continuous for future meaning 現在継続未来形(ビデオでチェック)

Remember “Going to”?

Stu says in that lesson        “I’m going to get a tattoo.”

Well, what about when he says in the video clip
“I’m getting a tattoo.”

What’s the difference between these two sentences?

I’m = Present
Going to = Present continuous
Getting = Present continuous
Both sentences have future meaning

So

Both sentences are the same. Present continuous for future meaning
If all the people in the conversation understand that they are talking about
the future, we can use simply “I’m buying a book.” or “I’m getting a tattoo.”
